Alhambra Hours

The Alhambra Palace is open all year, seven days a week, from 8.30 am except on Christmas (25 December) and New Year’s Day (1 January).

During peak months from 1 April to 14 October, Alhambra’s opening hours are from 8.30 am to 8 pm. 

You get the last entry one hour before the Alhambra closing time.

Night Visit

During the Alhambra night tours, witness the beauty of the Generalife Gardens, Alhambra and the Nasrid Palaces.

Three parts of the Alhambra complex are open for night visits: the Generalife Palace and Gardens and the Nasrid Palace.

Based on the season, the night visit timings change.

Nasrid Palace Night Hours

Visit Alhambra Gardens and the Nasrid Palace at night to enjoy its magnificence, which is open from Tuesday to Saturday.

You get entry to Nasrid Palace at the time slot printed on your ticket.

When can you see the Exterior Lighting?

As the sun sets and dusk turns to night, the palace transforms under the glow of its exterior lights.

You can see the variation of lighting depending on the time of the year.

From 1 November until 28 February, the palace is bathed in a soft luminescence from dusk until 2 am. 

This winter illumination schedule allows visitors to marvel at the architectural beauty under a starlit sky.

As spring arrives, from 1 March to 31 October, the lighting extends until 4 am. 

During specific times of the year, you can experience the special lighting of Alhambra’s exteriors.

This is during the times below:

  • Easter week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday), 
  • the celebration of Corpus Christi (the Saturday preceding the last Saturday of the event), and
  • Christmas (from December 24 to January 5), you can see lighting till 6 am.

Alcazaba Opening Hours

During the summer months of April to October, Alcazaba opens at 9 am and closes at 8 pm, with the last entry at 7.15 pm. 

In the winter months, from November through October, its opening hours are from 9 am to 6 pm, with the last entry at 5.15 pm. 

Alcazaba remains closed during Christmas on  24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January.
